The schools

Between 2003 and 2010, 42 small high schools took part in the Initiative across thirteen Oregon districts. This directory lists them by community.

Some schools were created by converting a large comprehensive high school into several smaller ones sharing a campus. Others opened as new starts, designed from the ground up. Many operated as academies or schools within a host campus, which is why several districts appear below with more than one entry. Individual profiles were written for the schools that were active in 2009 and 2010.
